Dog Acupuncture in Baltimore

Holistic Medicine is a healing approach that focuses on the whole being—mind, body, and spirit.

Our Baltimore based Dog Acupuncture aims to restore balance and harmony within the body. We’ve seen great success treating a wide range of physical and emotional issues, including pain, arthritis, mobility challenges, digestive problems, allergies, anxiety, and depression. Acupuncture is especially beneficial for senior dogs, improving their quality of life and easing transitions.

In line with holistic practices, our treatments not only address symptoms but also focus on correcting underlying imbalances to promote long-term wellness.

Meet our Acupuncturist, Stacey MacFarlane. Licensed in the state of Maryland, Stacey has been practicing acupuncture for over 20 years. She graduated from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute in Columbia, MD (now Maryland University of Integrative Health in Laurel, MD) and was certified in Animal Acupuncture in 2006. Stacey is drawn to Chinese medicine and Eastern philosophy because of its holistic perspective on the body, mind, and spirit. Ancient wisdom teaches us that symptoms and conditions (physical or emotional) are the body’s way of telling us that something has been knocked off balance and that equilibrium has been disrupted. Acupuncture uses tiny, hair-thin needles to stimulate energy movement in the body, allowing for physiological changes and refocusing this energy. Discover the benefits of holistic medicine in Baltimore with Stacey's expert care.

A typical treatment plan for dog acupuncture in Baltimore starts by establishing care with weekly sessions for 4-6 weeks.

In the initial session, a thorough health history is obtained, a physical assessment is conducted, and then acupuncture treatment follows to conclude the appointment. The benefits of your first session can often be seen as soon as the following week. Long-term, the goal of holistic medicine in Baltimore is to maintain a healthy internal balance and a preventative routine focused on your dog's comfort. As the positive outcomes of treatment progress, sessions can be spaced out while still supporting the quality of life for your companion. Within each of us is our innate capacity to move toward balance and healing.  Our passion is partnering with people and animals to help restore balance and, therefore, health and wellness. Working with dogs and watching them feel better as they become more peaceful in themselves brings us great pleasure and satisfaction.
